NJDOT is conducting a roadway improvement study along Route 35 between Barnegat Avenue and Kerr Avenue in Toms River Township and Lavallette Borough, Ocean County. The study aims to enhance safety and improve pedestrian and bicycle facilities in accordance with NJDOT’s Complete Streets Policy.
Route 130, Pedestrian Bridges: Concept Development Study
NJDOT is studying three pedestrian bridges over Route 130 at Garfield Avenue, Federal Street, and Merchantville Avenue. The study aims to identify repairs focusing on deck and structural improvements, while also exploring ways to enhance pedestrian mobility and accessibility.
Johnson Trolley Trail Connection over I-295
Lawrence Township, Mercer County, New Jersey
The Johnson Trolley Trail is an existing circuit trail consisting of multiple segments which have already been constructed, are in progress, or planned to be constructed. The trail begins in the City of Trenton, continues through Ewing and Lawrence Townships, and ends in Princeton Township.
Route 23, Master Street to Scenic Lake Road
Franklin Borough and Hamburg Borough, Sussex County, New Jersey
NJDOT is conducting a Concept Development (CD) Study along Route 23 between Master Street and Scenic Lake Road in the Boroughs of Hamburg and Franklin, Sussex County. The study aims to improve safety by addressing roadway issues and reducing the frequency and severity of crashes. As part of this effort, NJDOT will explore opportunities to enhance safety for all users, motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists, in alignment with the Department’s Complete Streets Policy.
Route 280 (Frontage Roads), Essex Avenue to Steuben Street
City of Orange Township and City of East Orange, Essex County, New Jersey
NJDOT is conducting a roadway improvement study along the Route 280 Frontage Roads (Freeway Drive East and Freeway Drive West) between Essex Avenue and Munn Avenue in the Cities of Orange Township and East Orange in Essex County, NJ. The study aims to enhance safety and mobility for motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit users while improving connections to surrounding neighborhoods and transit facilities.
Route 195 Interchange Study
Millstone Township and Jackson Township, Monmouth and Ocean Counties, New Jersey
NJDOT is conducting a roadway improvement study along Route 195 (I-195) and Monmouth Road (CR 537) in Millstone Township and Jackson Township, Monmouth and Ocean counties. The study seeks to address traffic congestion and improve mobility, accessibility, and reliability in the I-195 Interchange 16 area to reduce delays and enhance the safety of all road users.
